Jerry Ross Counseling Department is committed to supporting students's social/emotional needs. As advocates for students, Mrs. Maynor promotes a positive environment that enhances students' ability to properly manage the social/emotional demands of their lives.This is done through many methods that promote a school environment designed to advance students toward positive mindsets and behaviors. Some of these strategies include: classroom curriculum, group counseling, and individual counseling
PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports)
PBIS is a proactive approach to improve school safety and promote Positive Behavior strategies for students. The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment.

-Short Term Solution Focused Counseling Services in Individual and/or Small Group Settings
-Annual Classroom Guidance Lessons on Personal Body Safety
-Addresses concerns of self-harm
-All Services are Confidential
-Collaboration with Outside Agencies/Services When Release of Information Form is Signed
